My husband and I had a delightful dinner. The Wiener Schnitzel was light and airy and we had enough for another dinner at home. The service was attentive.

went there with my two brothers and our wives. I was a little skeptical when I looked at the menu but was happily surprised by the quality of the food.

While they had the traditional german cuisine, I ventured into the filet mignon which was done perfectly. I am used to having my filet without any special sauce but the peppercorn sauce was great!.

While the food was pricey it was a great place to try and we were all happy that we went.

I have never eaten at the Wienerstube, but had heard it was under new ownership and had improved. Our friends were in town for the holidays and invited us there for dinner. I didn't even know that they served dinner, but our friends told us that many years ago, the Wienerstube served all three meals.

I was very pleased with our dinner and dessert. Harald Neuweg, the owner and chef, came out to talk with us and recommend his Austrian specialties. I had the veal stroganoff and my husband had the wienerschnitzel. It was the best schnitzel I've ever had and it was so light. The apple studel with the two fruit sauces for dessert was to die for followed by a lovely peach schnapps.

Harald Neuweg has done a fantastic job with the Wienerstube. He has brought some of that old European flavor back to Aspen. I miss some of the restaurants in town, like Guidos which served Swiss delicacies. I hope this restaurant lasts a long time and that everyone goes out and gives it a try.

The local Wienerstube is reborn and Harald has some great ideas for the future, even an Oktoberfest in Aspen! Another plus is that there’s lots of parking over there on East Hyman.

Danke schon Harald and good luck!
